Hello! I’m Tom and I am a software engineer.

I prefer back end. I can do front end.

Companies have trusted me to write production code in Ruby (on Rails), React and, on one occasion, Python. They’ve also trusted me to lead teams doing the same.

I have personal projects written in Elixir (on Phoenix) and Go, of which I prefer the latter.

Aside from programming, I do some photography as well as write short fiction. I also help with Artemis, a project showcasing stories of incredible women.

The theme across the site is a modified version of the Archie theme for Hugo. I collect very lightweight analytics for the vanity metrics which I then show to my mum. You won’t be tracked.
